*The Family Care Rider pays a weekly benefit equal to 50 percent of the Total Disability Weekly Benefit while the insured person is on family medical leave, as defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), to provide full time care for a child, spouse or parent. The insured person must be employed on a full-time basis when family medical leave begins and satisfy an elimination period. No benefits are payable if the insured person is eligible for or receiving any disability benefits under the policy or any attached riders. This rider is available to issue ages 18 through 60 for an additional cost at the time of application only.
